The Days Hasten On

The Days Hasten On As the Bards Foretold

Men race to take control of worldly power
Mingling with avarice and vulgarity
As an extremist, fanatic, and rebel
Materialism and poverty
Menace liberty
And life
*
In Countless Sovereign Nations
Amidst opulence and luxuries
Nero’s kind rule and dines
Yet Famine lies awaiting
Chaos reigns supreme
Yet babies cry in
Pain as hunger
Persists
*
The Circle Spins Round and Round
The expected Age came as foretold
“Man, think again of your destiny.”
Consider love a healing balm
Which soothes both angst
And anger; End disparity
Accept our differences
Embrace diversity
Acknowledge the
Power of
 Peace
*
The Drums of War Fell Silent
Battle flags now rest furled
Peace as destiny foretold
Absolute and enduring
Irrepressible irresistible
Omnipotent priceless
Radiant timeless
Unfettered
Peace
*
