DeSantis voted NO on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act. (Feb 2013) because he objected to provisions in the Senate bill that extended VAWAs and also included protections for lesbians, gays, immigrants, and Native Americans.

DeSantis is okay with concealed carry statewide, and okay with carrying guns openly on college campuses. (Aug 2018) He opposes restrictions on gun purchases. (Sep 2012)

His personal opinion. DeSantis claims sexual relations are properly reserved for one man-one woman marriage. That is his opinion, and he's welcome to have that... but a personal opinion is personal opinion. Period. DeSantis-Morality: He goes to church and prays. He waves the American Flag, places his hand over his heart, sings the Star Spangled Banner, and labels himself Pro-life. Hmmm.

He supports the Pro-death penalty, and He champions war and nuclear weapons... Touts Constitutional Rights, and champions gun ownership rights.

He ignores torture, yet promotes anti-health care. He willingly denies food to hungry children - and families. There are many reasons families are homeless... Yet he's more than willing to deny families and children food, education, and housing. This says much about his Pro-Life declaration.

These two issues are confounding: DeSantis claims to be Pro-life, yet he supports the death penalty.  He claims that people who get violent, need to be held accountable. Well then, DeSantis certainly needs to be held accountable, because when push comes to shove, DeSantis is showing signs of being a violent person. A person with a well-developed spine-chilling interest in women’s menstrual cycles. He supports muzzling women and supports free sanitary pads and tampons for girls - in public schools.
