The Wisdom Keepers

The Wisdom Keepers

When telling stories the elders speak in a slow low voice; this is how the stories are told. ‘We think we are dreaming them; we hear the stories; but never forget them.’ The campfire stories are told around the harvest and winter. They have been handed down by word of mouth; from father to son; wisdom keeper to wisdom keeper and each nuance is subtly noted and recalled in the next telling.

The Wisdom Keepers are Weavers:
The spinners of legends and tales, like the spinners of wool, the elders carefully weave the words of creation and the fabric of life.   They weave the unfolding of our nature and the time of our beginning and our ending: they tell of the fire and passion within. They remind us we are to nurture our passion until it bursts into flames
